Billy Jones

Billy Jones is an Industry Partner serving on the Nebraska Sorghum Producers.  Billy grew up on a small farm in Southwest Missouri where he learned to love everything about farming and working with producers.  He graduated from Missouri State University with his Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy.  His career started as a crop consultant in Northwest Kansas learning about every crop that producers utilize to make profit, this is where he learned grain sorghum was and still is a valuable crop in the producer’s rotations.  He continues his career as a Certified Professional Agronomist and working with an industry leader in the seed business.  Billy proudly served his country, retiring with 20 years in the Army National Guard.  His proudest military accomplishment was serving in Operation Enduring Freedom at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan with Nebraska Agri-Business Development Team.  During this mission he helped coordinate the installation of the very first center pivot irrigation system installed at Kabul University.  I serve on the NGSB to educate producers on crop management of grain sorghum on their operations.  Billy and his wife Bobbi reside in McCook, NE.
